The Refúgio do Côa was born from a desire to preserve the essence of a traditional Portuguese country house and create a place where you can slow down and enjoy the simple things in life.

Built in the 1950s and renovated in 2017, the house has preserved its identity and connection to the history of the region. Once divided between the family home and an old forge, it opened its doors as a local accommodation in 2022, giving the house a new lease of life.

Today, with two bedrooms, welcoming spaces and a private outdoor area with a garden and swimming pool, the Refúgio do Côa invites you to disconnect from the pace of everyday life, enjoy nature and experience a truly rural setting.

From here, you can discover the tranquillity of the countryside, explore nature and experience the region’s heritage and traditions — or simply stay, enjoy the house and let time pass.

☺Couple très accueillant, maison très agréable, elle est magnifique et fonctionnelle. Tous les équipements (cuisine, hygiène) sont sur place. L’endroit est apaisant, calme et très intime (aucun visuel sur le jardin avec la piscine, on peut bronzer tranquillement) 
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour en famille. On reviendra sans hésiter !
